Job summary

First Table is seeking a Front-end Engineer to build and improve the customer-facing experiences diners use daily, from discovery to booking. You’ll work on a React/TypeScript/Next.js web platform, with a path to contribute to our React Native app.

Strong UI focus and usability are essential, and we value pragmatic shipping alongside a great user experience. You’ll join a fast-paced team across NZ, AU and the UK in a hybrid setup from Auckland or Queenstown, with AI-enabled ways of working and a

Qualifications

Proficient in React and TypeScript with a strong UI/UX mindset.
Experience with Next.js and modern frontend tooling.
Familiarity with GraphQL, analytics or design systems.
Experience building customer-facing digital products and a focus on accessibility and performance.

Responsibilities

Build and improve customer-facing features across the diner and booking experience.
Develop responsive, performant, accessible experiences using React, TypeScript and Next.js.
Turn designs into polished experiences with a strong eye for UI quality and usability.
Collaborate with Product and Design to ship improvements quickly.
Contribute to React Native / Expo mobile app as experience grows.
Build reusable components and work with APIs and GraphQL.
