Foodstuffs South Island Limited in Queenstown, New Zealand, is seeking a Fresh Foods Assistant for the Deli department. You will work a fixed roster of 9 hours per day across 45 hours per week, with Saturdays to Wednesdays 5:00am to 2:30pm.

The role requires prior food handling experience and a strong focus on customer service and product presentation. Applicants must have food handling experience, be physically fit, reliable, and able to work both with colleagues and independently to maintain

We are looking for people with a passion for food preparation to work in our Deli department.

In the Deli our rosters are fixed, so you’ll know what days you’ll work each week and that you’ll be working 9 hours per day, 45 hours per week. The roster for this position is:

Saturdays to Wednesdays 5:00am to 2.30pm.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Someone with previous food handling and preparation experience
• Physically fit and able to lift reasonably heavy items
• A team player with the ability to assist colleagues as well as work independently
• Attentive to detail and committed to providing an excellent shopping experience for our customers

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing food items such as salads, sandwiches, and other deli items and cooking and heating food
