Job summary

Humes Pipeline Systems in Christchurch, Canterbury, is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to join our Hornby manufacturing site. You will help move materials, load and unload, and support production teams while maintaining safety standards.

You'll have a current Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence with Forklift Endorsement, enjoy a permanent full-time role, and access ongoing training, employee education funding, and staff discounts across Fletcher Building brands.

Qualifications

• Current Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence with F Endorsement / Forklift Licence.
• Experience operating forklifts in industrial environments.
• Strong health and safety awareness and ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling tasks up to 25 kg.

Our Humes Hornby team is looking for an upbeat, reliable person to join us as a Forklift Operator. What you'll be doing

Working within our busy manufacturing site, you'll play a key role in supporting the production and movement of concrete pipes and precast products.

• Operating forklifts to safely move, load and unload materials and finished products
• Distributing and monitoring materials around the manufacturing plant and precast production areas
• Supporting pipe and precast production teams through a variety of routine manufacturing tasks
• Manual handling of materials and products as required
• Conducting pre-start equipment checks and reporting maintenance requirements
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
• Adhering to quality, production and health & safety standards at all times

What we're looking for

Ideally, you'll have experience operating forklifts within a manufacturing, construction, concrete, civil, or warehousing environment. Most importantly, you'll bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• A current Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence with F Endorsement / Forklift Licence
• Experience operating forklifts in an industrial environment
