Job summary

Mach3 is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead the workshop team in Wigram. This hands-on leadership role keeps you on the tools while guiding fabrication, assembly and repair work.

You will mentor fabricators and welders, manage daily workflow, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with management to meet deadlines in a busy, supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in fabrication or welding.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential or experience.
  • Strong planning and time-management abilities.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Foreman to help lead the workshop team in Wigram.

This opportunity could suit an experienced Foreman or Team Leader, or an experienced fabricator/welder who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

This is a hands-on leadership role - you'll be right there on the tools alongside your team while managing workflow, providing mentorship, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. You'll take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy working in a team, and be keen to develop your leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You don't necessarily need to have held the title of Foreman before. What we're looking for is someone with strong technical capability, a great attitude, and the confidence and potential to lead others.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A relevant trade qualification and solid fabrication/welding experience.
  • Previous leadership experience or a genuine desire and readiness to step into a leadership role.
  • Excellent planning and time management abilities.
  • The ability to complete work to a high standard with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel.
  • A solid understanding of health & safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A flexible, positive attitude and a commitment to doing the job well.
