Fulton Hogan is seeking a Footpath Sweeper Operator in Southland, Invercargill. The role involves operating a footpath/road sweeper, performing pre-start checks, and maintaining equipment to keep CBDs and road corridors clean and safe.

You will work mostly on site, autonomously, with a focus on safety, consistency, and delivering high-quality service. You will contribute to road user safety and community well‑being by maintaining tidy work areas, adhering to traffic management rules, and

Qualifications

• Current Class 2 licence required with experience operating heavy vehicles or plant.
• Good health and safety awareness around live traffic and active sites.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to keep equipment and work areas in top shape.
• Good communication and a team‑first attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsabilités

• Operate footpath/road sweeping equipment safely and efficiently across Fulton Hogan sites and roading networks in Southland.
• Complete pre-start checks, routine cleaning, and basic daily maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Keep work areas, road corridors, and sites clean, tidy, and safe for crews, road users, and the public.
• Follow traffic management, safety, and environmental requirements at all times.
• Work closely with site crews and leaders to deliver reliable, high‑standard service day in, day out.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

We're looking for a Footpath Sweeper Operator to join our Southland team. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys early starts and being out on the road, takes pride in doing a tidy job, and values safety, consistency, and doing Good Work every day.

You'll operate a small Invercargill based footpath/ road sweeper machine, helping keep our CBD, road corridors, and surrounding areas clean, safe, and well presented. You'll mostly work autonomously and be trusted to get on with the job and play an important part in the work we deliver for our communities. This role does not include hydrovac work.

• Operate footpath/road sweeping equipment safely and efficiently across Fulton Hogan sites and roading networks in Southland.
