Job summary

JobSpace in Auckland, New Zealand is seeking production staff to assist with food preparation, processing and packaging. Working hours are generally 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and 40 hours per week guaranteed.

No prior experience is required, but applicants must have good knowledge of Filipino cuisine and be physically fit to perform repetitive tasks. You will operate basic equipment, maintain hygiene, and follow safety procedures as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, processing, packing, and labelling of food products.
• Operate basic food processing and packaging equipment under supervision.
• Prepare ingredients and materials according to production requirements.
• Weigh, measure, portion, and pack food products accurately.
• Check products for quality, freshness, weight, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, equipment, and food preparation areas.
• Follow food safety, workplace health and safety, and company procedures.
• Store ingredients and finished products correctly and safely.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving food products and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of production, stock, and quality checks where required.
• Assist other production staff with general duties as required.
• Report any equipment issues, product defects, or food safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team.
