Job summary

Lactalis New Zealand is a major dairy employer with over 1,000 people across four sites, two distribution centres and our corporate head office. We produce Anchor, Fresh’n Fruity, Mainland and Kāpiti, and NZ New Milk for global markets.

The two-year fixed-term role leads a large-scale packaging transformation programme, coordinating across manufacturing, regulatory, packaging, supply chain and marketing to ensure projects are delivered successfully with minimal business disruption.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' project or programme management experience within a large, multifunctional corporate environment.
• Experience within FMCG, food and beverage manufacturing, supply chain, product development or a similarly complex operational environment.
• Proven experience managing multiple workstreams, budgets, timelines, risks and dependencies simultaneously.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
• A process-driven, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for optimisation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple packaging artwork and product transition projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and in line with project objectives.
• Coordinate stakeholders across marketing, manufacturing, regulatory, packaging and supply chain functions to drive project outcomes and approvals.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers and communication plans to keep complex programmes on track.
• Oversee artwork development and implementation through to commercialisation, ensuring compliance and operational readiness.
• Drive business continuity while minimising risk, write-off costs and operational impacts across a significant portfolio of packaging changes.
