Job summary

Rocket Lab’s Neutron team is seeking a Development Engineer II to design, build, and test fluid systems and associated hardware for the Neutron launch vehicle. You will translate vehicle requirements into fluid networks and work with propulsion/vehicle teams to ensure performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with analysis and manufacturing engineers to produce concepts, detailed designs, and drawings for metallic and composite components, and participate in development and qualification

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical or mechatronic/mechatronic engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Produce and iterate conceptual designs in CAD.
• Develop detailed design elements including composite inserts, laminates, joints, and interfaces.
• Prepare drawing packages and laminate books for manufacturability.
• Create test jigs/fixtures for fabrication, assembly and development testing.
• Design prototype parts and address quality issues as they arise.
