Job summary

Simpsons Flooring Xtra Timaru is looking for a practical, customer-focused person to join our team. You’ll work with homeowners, renovators and local builders quoting flooring projects and helping customers choose products.

The role combines showroom sales, estimating from plans, and on-site measuring, with full training and long-term career opportunities in a supportive local team. You should be organised, able to read plans, and confident using computers; a full driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in flooring, building supplies, or kitchen/bathroom showrooms.
• Trade or building background.
• Able to read plans and take accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Quote flooring jobs from plans and site measures.
• Assist retail and trade customers in our showroom.
• Carry out on-site measures.
• Maintain relationships with local builders.
• Support store and warehouse operations when required.
