Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Meade Clinical Centre Outpatients is seeking a registered nurse for a fixed-term 12-month role at 0.8 FTE. The primary location is the surgical clinics, with a requirement to be flexible across other outpatient services to support a responsive workforce.

The successful candidate will bring 3+ years post-registration experience, strong surgical and medical nursing knowledge, wound care skills, and a commitment to patient education and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in a Health NZ hospital/acute care setting.
• Sound nursing knowledge in surgical and medical nursing.
• Experience in wound care; orientation and training will be provided.
• Willingness to work across a variety of outpatient clinics.
• Commitment to patient education and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse will be primarily in the surgical clinic nursing team with flexibility to work in other outpatient clinics.
• Deliver compassionate, whanau-focused care and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with senior nurses and specialists during investigations and minor procedures.
• Support a flexible and responsive outpatient workforce.
