The Malaghan Institute of Medical Research in Wellington is seeking a Casual Animal Technician for the Biomedical Research Unit (BRU). You will care for mice, assist with daily duties, and help maintain equipment and records as part of a close-knit team.

Qualificações

• Experience in animal care.
• Previous experience in a scientific/highly regulated environment, particularly biomedical.

Responsabilidades

• Day-to-day care of the mice: cleaning and monitoring animal health.
• Cleaning and maintenance of equipment, ensuring standards and procedures are followed.
• Ensure provision of clean environment and equipment for animal rooms.
• Operation of cage washer, autoclave, de-capper, bottle washer and bottle filler.
• Maintain accurate record keeping relating to animal provision, health and usage.
• Support other BRU tasks as required.
