Job summary

Saint Ignatius of Loyola Catholic College in Auckland is seeking a Teacher Aide for a 12-month fixed-term position to support ākonga in their learning journey. You will work in partnership with teachers to help every student achieve their potential.

You will provide in-class, group and individual support for literacy and numeracy, assist with the Emmaus Learning Centre, and help with assessment supports such as reader/writer accommodations and IEPs for ORRS funded learners.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting literacy and numeracy programmes.
• Ability to support ākonga learning needs across curriculum areas.
• Familiar with ORRS-funded learners and IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class/group/individual assistance with literacy and numeracy programmes
• Support ākonga learning needs across curriculum areas and levels as required
• Emmaus Learning Centre support for group and individual learners
• Assist with reader/writer or other examination support for assessments
• Support ORRS-funded ākonga per their IEP
• Perform administrative duties for the Emmaus Learning Centre
• Prepare, maintain, and manage classroom resources and equipment for the Emmaus Learning Centre
