This is a rare opportunity to join Endura Mining at a foundational stage and help shape its future from the ground up. With active site operations in New Zealand and a growing Sydney based corporate team, we are entering an exciting phase of rapid growth and transformation.
Endura is led by a world class executive team with deep operational experience and a shared long term vision to build a modern, values driven mining company.
With production targeted within the next 6 months, our strategy is to grow into a multi asset business operating 3 to 5 gold and copper projects. The stage is set for you to be part of this journey from the very beginning, where your impact will directly influence how we scale and succeed.
We are seeking a qualified Fitter/Welder to carry out scheduled maintenance, repairs and installations across the Snowy River processing plant and associated infrastructure. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will keep the fixed plant and ancillary equipment running reliably and safely.
This is a hands-on role in a small, multi-skilled maintenance team at a new operation. It suits a practical, self-managing tradesperson who takes pride in their work, pitches in across the plant, and is happy to turn their hand to a wide range of tasks.
Safety, Health, Environment & Community (SHEC)
- Take personal responsibility for your own safety and that of those around you, intervening when you see unsafe work or conditions.
- Work in accordance with all relevant New Zealand health, safety and environmental legislation, site permits, and Endura Mining policies, procedures and the site safety and health management system.
- Identify, report and help control hazards; participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Promote a positive safety culture and demonstrate behaviours aligned with Endura Mining's values.
- Be proactive in identifying and reporting hazards and eliminating risk-taking behaviours.
- Ensure all incidents are promptly reported and documented in the site safety system.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in your work area at all times.
Maintenance & Repair
- Carry out scheduled (preventive) and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant and ancillary equipment — including crushers, conveyors, chutes, mills, pumps, cyclones, gravity and intensive leach equipment, flotation cells, filtration, agitators, tanks and water infrastructure.
- Fabricate and install components from drawings to a high standard.
- Conduct PM-generated inspections to a high standard and close out paperwork with informative history notes.
- Carry out welding and fabrication in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Performance-test equipment before returning it to service to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Carry out repairs and installations in consultation with OEMs where required.
- Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Work cooperatively within the maintenance and processing teams to meet or better plant availability targets.
- Complete assigned work and associated paperwork efficiently and accurately.
- Assist other trades with their work as required.
- Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of safety, practices and procedures.
- Actively participate in training to develop your skills and keep inductions and competencies current.
About you:
- A recognised mechanical trade qualification (fitting / mechanical / welding / fabrication).
- Experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
- A genuine commitment to working safely and looking out for your teammates.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and work safely from procedures and permits.
- A practical, self-managing approach and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
What we offer:
- Competitive remuneration package
- Accommodation Allowance
- Work bus from Reefton and Greymouth
- Healthcare provided for all staff
- Ongoing training and career development opportunities
- Supportive and safety-focused workplace culture
- Employee wellbeing and assistance programs
