Job summary

Canstaff is seeking an Experienced Fire Sprinkler Installer for a Christchurch role. You will join our team on commercial and construction sites, installing fire sprinkler systems alongside other trades. The role is hands-on and requires reading plans, on-site measurements, and working at heights.

Ideal candidates have prior sprinkler installation experience, understand sprinkler pipework, and can follow drawings with precision. A reliable, team-oriented attitude and Site Safe tickets are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing fire sprinkler systems.
• Good understanding of sprinkler pipework and installation.
• Ability to read and follow plans.
• Comfortable working at heights and on construction sites.
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team.
• Site Safe tickets are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install sprinkler pipework, sprinkler heads and associated equipment.
• Read and work from plans and drawings.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove and fit pipework.
• Install brackets, supports, valves and other sprinkler components.
• Work at heights and from scaffolding or EWP when required.
• Maintain safety and high workmanship standards.

We are looking for experienced Fire Sprinkler Installers to join our team in Christchurch.This is a hands-on role working on commercial and construction sites, installing fire sprinkler systems alongside other trades.

What you'll be doing

• Installing sprinkler pipework, sprinkler heads and associated equipment
• Reading and working from plans and drawings
• Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and fitting pipework
• Installing brackets, supports, valves and other sprinkler components
• Working at heights and from EWP/scaffolding where required
• Working safely and maintaining a high standard of workmanship

What we're looking for

• Previous experience installing fire sprinkler systems
• Good understanding of sprinkler pipework and installation
• Ability to read and follow plans
• Comfortable working at heights and on construction sites
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
