Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking an experienced Fencing Installer to cover multiple Christchurch sites. This hands-on role requires confidence with tools, a focus on quality workmanship and strong safety practices. Start date is immediate with pay of $30–$35 per hour plus weekly pay.

You’ll install fencing, gates and perimeter-security systems, read plans, and complete work to tight timeframes while maintaining tidy, safe work areas. NZ Driver Licence and Site Safe/EWP certs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, building or installation.
• Must hold Site Safe, EWP and harness/working-at-heights certs.
• Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on installation tasks.

Fencing Installer

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced, hands‑on Installer to work across a range of Christchurch sites. If you have a background in construction or installation, are confident using tools and take pride in delivering quality work, we want to hear from you.

Location: Various sites, Christchurch
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $30–$35 per hour + weekly pay

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install fencing, gates and a range of perimeter-security products
• Set out installation work accurately from plans, drawings and survey pegs
• Use hand, power and battery tools safely and effectively
• Complete installation work to required specifications and timeframes
• Maintain high standards of workmanship across each project
• Keep work areas safe, tidy and organised
• Communicate with the team and complete required job documentation accurately

What We’re Looking For

• Previous construction, building or relevant installation experience
• Current Site Safe, EWP and harness/working-at-heights certification
• Ability to meet clean MOJ requirements
• Confidence using a range of hand, power and battery tools
• Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
• Physically fit and comfortable completing hands‑on installation work
• Fencing, gate or security installation experience, plan‑reading skills or OSH certification are advantageous
