Job summary

Alliance Group Limited in Nelson is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the site’s finance function, partnering with plant operations to drive performance, profitability and informed decision-making. Reporting to the Plant Manager and collaborating with Group Finance, you’ll shape the site’s financial strategy and ensure robust governance.

You’ll own budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, P&L, balance sheet and working capital; build strong controls, support capital investment decisions

Qualifications

• Recognised accounting qualification or diploma (CA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in financial control, management accounting or finance leadership roles.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting capability.
• Experience supporting operational or manufacturing-based businesses.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Experience leading teams and developing capability in others.
• A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the team at our Nelson Processing Plant.

This is a senior leadership role that sits at the heart of the plant operation, providing strategic financial leadership and partnering closely with operational leaders to drive performance, profitability and informed decision-making. Reporting to the Plant Manager and working closely with Group Finance, you'll lead the site's finance function and play a key role in shaping the site's future success.

Key Responsibilities Include
