Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead a small finance team in Wellington. You will deliver high-quality financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and organisational performance.

Responsibilities include managing payroll, internal controls, and financial administration, with a focus on accuracy and compliance under NZ accounting standards.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA membership essential (Australia & NZ CPA or equivalent).
• Experience managing payroll and knowledge of payroll tax.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Not-for-profit or health sector experience desirable.
• Proven communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written communication and professional documents.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 and Financial Information Systems.
• Sound analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of project management methodologies.

Our client is on the look out for an experience Finance Manager.Lead a small team to deliver high-quality financial, data analysis, and administrative services to the organisation.

You will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, reporting, analysis and insight, internal controls, payroll and administration.

Experience

• Full Membership of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand is essential (CPA Australia or CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience managing payroll with knowledge of payroll tax and employment legislation.
• Strong people leadership, coaching skills and experience.
• Experience in not for profit or health sector is desirable.
• Proven communication and negotiation skills.
• Exceptional written communication, with extensive experience producing high standard professional documents.
• An understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite and Financial Information Systems.
• Sound analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• An understanding of project management methodologies.
