Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Auckland is seeking a Field Testing Supervisor to lead on-site field testing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to lab and IANZ requirements. You will be the technical link between the lab and project teams, driving safe practices and high-quality results.

You will manage testing equipment, interpret results, and provide guidance to delivery crews, promoting continuous improvement and safe work practices across projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Must have trade qualification in materials testing or similar discipline.
• Experience leading field testing activities and teams.
• Strong understanding of testing methods and QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of field testing to support on-time, high-quality delivery.
• Oversee testing and reporting of materials per lab and IANZ requirements.
• Carry out equipment checks and ensure calibration of testing equipment.
• Analyse results, identify quality issues, provide technical feedback to clients and delivery teams.

We're looking for a Field Testing Supervisor to join our Auckland team. You'll lead field testing on the ground, own the quality and accuracy of results, and keep our testing systems sharp, helping us deliver safer roads and quality infrastructure across the region. If you know asphalt, aggregates and pavement performance, this is your kind of role. You'll be the technical link between the lab and the job, making sure materials are tested properly, standards are met, and project teams get the insights they need to keep work moving. • Lead the daily operation of field testing activities to support safe, on-time and high-quality delivery.
• Oversee testing and reporting of materials in line with Fulton Hogan lab and IANZ requirements.

• A trade qualification in materials testing or a similar discipline.
• Safety-related certification and a strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing.
• Solid knowledge of asphalt production principles, practical applications and mix designs.
• A competent understanding of material properties, testing methods, and local or international methodology.
• At least 1 year of field or laboratory testing experience, along with the ability to lead, problem solve and think ahead.
