Kiwi Pollen, a family-run pollination agritech based in Te Puke, is seeking a Field Supervisor for the kiwifruit season. You’ll lead a team of flower pickers across Te Puke and Tauranga, ensuring quality, training new staff, and supporting health and safety.

Kiwi Pollen is a specialist, family-run pollination agritech, operating since 1989 based in Te Puke. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, motivating a team, and making a real difference during the kiwifruit season. The successful candidate will be looking after a team of flower pickers working in various kiwifruit orchards in the Te Puke & Tauranga area.
Ensure quality standards across the picking team
Manage, motivate & support flower pickers
Training new staff in good flower picking techniques
Champion any health & safety concerns promptly
Ensure thorough picking of bays and rotations of blocks
Keep up to date & accurate timesheets
Liaise with office/mill throughout the day
Transport flowers to the Mill when required
Flowers picked meet Kiwi Pollens high quality standards
Quality issues are swiftly addressed
A positive and enjoyable environment for the picking team
Blocks & bays are picked thoroughly
Experience in kiwifruit or horticulture (preferred but not essential)
Strong time management and organisation skills
Great communicator who can motivate a diverse team
Comfortable with technology (MS Office & mobile apps)
Attention to detail with a positive, can-do attitude
Sense of humour and a team-first mindset
Training in mid/late October then supervision starts in early October for approx 3 weeks - maximum 6 days per week
