Job summary
Automotive Employment NZ Ltd. is seeking an experienced field service technician for a Hawera-based role to diagnose and repair a range of modern agricultural machinery.
You will service, maintain and repair equipment, prepare it for delivery, and provide technical support to customers using advanced diagnostic tools and up-to-date technical information, with training and career development opportunities.
Qualifications
- A Diesel Mechanic or Automotive Technician trade qualification, or other equivalent qualification.
- Agricultural equipment experience is preferred, although experienced heavy diesel technicians from related industries are encouraged to apply.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- A current, clean driver's licence.
- Good communication skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults.
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing agricultural equipment.
- Completing scheduled maintenance and preventative servicing.
- Using modern diagnostic equipment and technical information.
- Preparing machinery for delivery and customer use.
- Providing technical support and delivering quality customer outcomes.
