Job summary

EmployMe Solutions in Auckland is seeking an experienced tractor mechanic for a busy service department at a well-known agricultural machinery dealership. You will diagnose and repair faults on tractors and ag equipment, perform servicing, and work with top brands, while staying current with training and equipment upgrades. A full NZ driver’s licence is required, with a competitive hourly rate and bonuses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a tractor or heavy diesel mechanic
• Level 4 trade qualification in heavy automotive or agricultural equipment
• Diagnosing hydraulics, electrics, and engine systems
• Familiar with diagnostic tools and electronic service systems
• Capable of workshop and field service work
• Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 1 minimum)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on tractors and ag equipment (John Deere, Case IH, New Holland)
• Perform scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs; fieldwork when required
• Use factory diagnostic tools and service systems for accurate work
• Collaborate with experienced techs to maintain fast turnarounds
• Keep records in line with service protocols
• Stay updated with training and equipment upgrades

• Hold a Level 4 trade qualification in heavy automotive or agricultural equipment
• Are confident diagnosing hydraulics, electrics, and engine systems
• Are familiar with diagnostic tools and electronic service systems
• Can handle both workshop and occasional field service work
• Have a full NZ driver's licence (Class 1 minimum) and a positive, can-do mindset
