Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a dynamic Field Manager to lead the Animal Management team in a vital leadership role in Manukau, Auckland. You will guide a team of Team Leaders and Animal Management Officers to ensure operational excellence, safety, and strong community service.

With 15+ years in leadership within a large organisation and a focus on stakeholder engagement, you will shape long-term strategies, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement and a positive culture across the city.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a large, complex organisation.
• At least 10 years in a leadership role within relevant sectors.
• Experience in legal or regulatory services is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of Team Leaders and Animal Management Officers.
• Drive safety, service delivery, and community outcomes.
• Shape and deliver long-term strategies to improve efficiency.
