Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a motivated Response Operator to join our Manawatu team. You will handle daily callouts and a range of maintenance tasks across council assets, drawing on outdoor and practical skills to troubleshoot, repair and maintain facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor roles with building, plumbing or related industries.
• Able to interpret building plans and perform landscaping, plumbing and irrigation tasks; operate machinery.
• Hold a current Full NZ Class 1 driver’s license capable of manual driving.
• Experience managing projects and communicating with clients.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; able to work independently.
• Physically fit with ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Desire to complete all jobs to a high standard of work.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily callouts to repair council assets.
• Set up bollards and troubleshoot blockages and water pressure on irrigation and public bathrooms.
• Install park signs.
• Involve in minor building works, landscaping and other facilities maintenance.
• Occasional weekend work for urgent callouts.
