Job summary

Pirtek Bay of Plenty is seeking an experienced Mobile Service Technician to join our Mount Maunganui team. You’ll respond to breakdowns, work on hydraulic hoses, and manage service calls in the field.

This permanent, full-time role offers a 40-hour week, a service vehicle after training, after-hours call-outs, and the chance to build hydraulic and fluid-transfer expertise within the Pirtek network.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ hands-on mechanical, hydraulic or field-service experience
• Experience repairing, servicing or maintaining machinery
• Strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and mobile service requests
• Manufacture, replace and install hydraulic hoses
• Diagnose hydraulic and mechanical faults
• Repair and replace hoses, fittings and hydraulic components
• Assist with hydraulic cylinder repairs and related workshop work
• Complete planned servicing and preventative maintenance
• Manage and prioritise your daily service calls
• Provide practical advice and professional service to customers
• Maintain your service vehicle, tools and stock
• Complete accurate job records
• Support the workshop team when required
