Job summary

Tradestaff Hawke’s Bay is seeking experienced, hands-on Installers to join a Hastings-based project with an immediate start. If you have a background in construction or installation and are confident using tools, you will deliver quality workmanship safely and efficiently.

Location: Hastings. Start date: Immediate. Pay rate: $28-$34 per hour, paid weekly. This role offers varied installation work and a long-term opportunity for the right person.

Qualifications

• Previous manual building, construction or installation experience.
• Confidence using a wide range of hand, power and battery tools.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform hands-on installation work.
• OSH certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out quality installation work within allocated timeframes.
• Installing fencing, gates and perimeter-security products.
• Reading plans and specifications and setting out works from drawings or survey pegs.
• Using and maintaining hand, power and battery tools and other equipment.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and keeping work areas tidy.
• Following health and safety practices throughout the job.
• Communicating effectively with the team and completing required job paperwork.

What we're looking for

• Previous manual building, construction or relevant installation experience
• Confidence using a wide range of hand, power and battery tools
• A reliable, hardworking attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good physical fitness and the capability to complete hands-on installation work
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Site Safe, EWP, safety harness and working-at-heights training/certification, plus the ability to meet clean MOJ requirements
• Previous fencing, gate or perimeter-security installation experience, plan-reading skills and OSH certification are advantageous
