Job summary

Tegel Foods Ltd in New Plymouth operates a busy feedmill producing high quality feeds. We are seeking an operator to join a shift-based team on a 4 on/4 off roster (6am–6pm and 6pm–6am).

You will need reliable transport and a full driver license to start. Key duties include weighing trucks on arrival, accurate documentation, filling bins, loading trucks with product, batching and mixing according to specs, barcode application and safe pallet storage.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and determined to be at work every day.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Must be physically fit and able to do heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Weighing In - All trucks are correctly weighed on arrival at the Feedmill.
• All manual documentation completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Accurately fill bins - kept adequately stocked for processing needs.
• Loading Trucks - Customers receive high quality feed.
• Batching, mixing of feed - ensuring correct mixture according to specifications.
• Barcoding on ingredients and shrink wrapping - all bags are barcoded and shrink wrapped securely.
• Storing pallets - placed in allocated area.
