Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking a Farm Maintenance Worker for Te Awamutu with an immediate start. You will perform ARC welding, fabricate repairs, and maintain farm machinery and equipment, applying hands-on skills across a range of maintenance tasks.

The role requires practical experience, a valid driver licence, and comfort working in a farm setting with odours. Weekly pay and PPE provided where required support your ongoing assignments.

Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on maintenance, mechanical, or similar practical experience.
  • Confident ARC welding and general repair skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude with a practical problem-solving approach.
  • Competent using common hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver licence and reliable transport.
  • Physically fit and comfortable completing manual maintenance work.
  • Comfortable working in a farm environment where strong odours may be present.

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $30–$34 per hour + weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carry out ARC welding and general fabrication repairs
  • Maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment
  • Complete basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
  • Diagnose everyday maintenance issues and find practical solutions
