Job summary

Holland Beckett is seeking a talented Solicitor to join their busy family practice in Tauranga. The role suits applicants with 3–5 years' PQE and strong family law experience, offering exposure to care of children, relationship property, family violence, PPPR and other matters.

You will manage your own files, collaborate with a supportive team and have opportunities to develop advocacy and client relationships in a varied, meaningful workload.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Solicitor to join our busy family practice and are open to candidates who have between 3-5 years' experience. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced practitioners across care of children, relationship property, family violence, PPPR, and other general family law matters.

About the role

You will manage your own files with appropriate support, contribute to a collaborative team environment, and have opportunities to develop your advocacy skills and client relationships. The work is varied, steady, and meaningful.

  • Managing a broad range of family law files
  • Appearing in the Family Court as required
  • Working closely with senior lawyers and partners
  • Drafting clear, accurate advice and court documents
  • Building strong relationships with clients and external professionals
  • Contributing to the wider litigation team where appropriate
What we’re looking for
  • NZ-admitted lawyers with 3–5 years’ PQE
  • Strong family law experience
  • Strong academic background
  • Clear, concise communication skills
  • Sound judgement and a practical approach to problem‑solving
  • A reliable work ethic and ability to manage competing demands
  • The ability to build trust with clients and work well within a team
