Job summary

Hamilton Christian School in New Zealand is seeking an encouraging, hands-on science faculty leader to guide Years 9–13 and lead the Senior Specialist Sciences team. You will oversee curriculum planning, resources, and academic tracking with a supportive teaching team.

Applicants must be a registered teacher with the NZ Teaching Council and have current NZ work rights; a deep Christian faith and a heart for staff wellbeing and student engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching senior students to NZQA Scholarship level.
• Experience teaching Year 12 and 13 chemistry and physics is an advantage.
• Strong leadership to oversee department operations, lab safety, and NCEA moderation.
• Knowledge of Te Mātaiaho / NZ Curriculum and lab safety guidelines.
• Commitment to staff wellbeing, student engagement and a team culture rooted in Christian values.

Due to ongoing roll growth, we have a number of exciting new teaching and leadership roles available. We are seeking an encouraging, hands‑on, Christ‑centred faculty leader – science to lead our passionate teaching team across Years 9–13.
