Job summary

Hamilton Christian School in New Zealand is seeking a warm, relational, and organised Christ-centred Team Leader – Year 7-8 to guide our middle school kaimahi and ākonga through these pivotal transition years.

You will lead day-to-day team planning, model godly character, and foster a collaborative culture grounded in Christian values, biblical truth, and care for one another.

Due to ongoing roll growth, we have a number of exciting new teaching and leadership roles available. We are seeking a warm, relational, and organised Christ-centred Team Leader – Year 7-8 to guide our teaching team and shepherd our middle school ākonga through these vital transition years.

What we are looking for

• A vibrant personal Christian faith and a genuine desire to uphold our school's special character.
• Proven teaching excellence and strong leadership skills to oversee day-to-day team operations, planning and student wellbeing across Years 7-8.
• A solid grasp of Te Mātaiaho / NZ Curriculum, learner progress tracking, and inclusive learning practices (including Individual Educational Plans).
• Outstanding relational skills to lead kaimahi, mentor teachers, and maintain open, encouraging communication with whānau, encouraging a team culture rooted in Christian values, biblical truth, and genuine care for one another.
• Strong organisation to manage RAMS, team budgets, professional growth, and middle school events.

You’ll work closely with the head of school and principal to lead team planning, model godly Christian character, and foster a collaborative, supportive team environment.
