Job summary

Fortis Recruitment is seeking motivated factory process workers to join our mussel grading, packing teams at a Havelock processing facility on a casual night shift. This role involves fast, accurate packing and careful grading to meet quality standards.

Based in Marlborough (Havelock area), you will pack, label, sort and grade mussels, open mussels with minimal waste, operate plant equipment safely, and help with cleaning and basic maintenance.

Job description

We are seeking motivated factory process workers to join our mussel grading, packing teams at a Havelock processing factory. This is a casual night shift role.

About the Role

Packing:Accurately and efficiently pack mussel products to company standards, ensuring correct portioning, labelling, and presentation. Maintain speed without compromising quality and contribute to a smooth workflow across the production line.

Grading:Carefully sort and grade mussels by size, quality, and specification, ensuring only the best products reach customers. Maintain consistency, spot defects or irregularities, and support overall product quality standards.

Farming support

Physical outside work , moving and managing ropes and Floats

Key Responsibilities:

Pack, label, sort, and grade mussels efficiently and accurately.

Open mussels with minimal waste, following hygiene and safety protocols.

Operate and maintain plant equipment safely.

Assist with equipment cleaning and minor maintenance.

Follow all health, safety, and quality standards.
