Job summary

Premier Staffing Solutions is seeking a Counterbalance Forklift Operator / Factory Assistant in Marlborough, New Zealand. You’ll operate a counterbalance forklift, load/unload trucks, assist customers by phone, drive manual vehicles, and support yard and factory tasks to keep daily operations on track.

Ideal applicants hold a current counterbalance forklift licence, a Class 1 driver licence, and at least 2 years’ forklift experience, with a hands-on, reliable attitude and good communication

Qualifications

• Current Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• At least 2 years' experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Full Class 1 driver's licence.
• Confident driving manual vehicles.
• Physically fit for heavy, hands-on work.
• Comfortable in dusty environments.
• Positive, reliable, and hands-on attitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Counterbalance Forklift Operator / Factory Assistant

We're on the hunt for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our client over on the north shore. This is a varied, hands‑on position where you'll be operating a forklift, assisting customers over the phone, driving manual vehicles, and helping out around the yard. If you're the type of person who likes to stay busy and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

• Operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Answering incoming phone calls and assisting customers.
• Driving manual company vehicles when required.
• Helping out in the yard and jumping in wherever needed.
• General labouring and keeping the factory running smoothly.

What we're looking for:

• Current Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• At least 2 years' experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Full Class 1 driver's licence.
• Confident driving manual vehicles.
• Physically fit and happy with heavy, hands‑on work.
• Comfortable working in a dusty environment.
• Positive attitude, reliable, and willing to get stuck in wherever needed.
• Great communication and customer service skills.
