Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking an Outdoor Cleaner Operator to join our Hastings depot. Based in Hastings, you’ll perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance of public facilities including restrooms, bus stops and BBQ areas, with early morning shifts from 5am to 1:30pm.

You’ll work autonomously and in a team, enjoying guaranteed hours with potential increases based on demand, a wellness benefit of $300 after qualifying period, and use of a work phone for personal use.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or cleaning is useful but not essential.
• A full driver’s licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle are required.
• Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Desire to complete all work to a high standard and keep the community clean.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public facilities in the Hastings area, including restrooms, bus stops and BBQ areas.
• Assist with rubbish collection and general park asset cleaning.
• Work across early morning shifts from 5am to 1:30pm.
• Support the wider team to meet service standards.

Green by Nature is a full facilities management company that operates across New Zealand and Australia, providing full facility parks maintenance and sports turf services. As part of our commitment to upkeeping the Hastings District Council, we are looking for a full-time Outdoor Cleaner Operator (also known as a Facilities Operator) to join our team.

What does an Outdoor Cleaner Operator do you ask?

Based at our Hastings depot, your role will see you take on the responsibility for scheduled cleaning and maintenance of public facilities in the area including public restrooms, bus stops and barbecue areas. The work also involves supporting the wider team with general rubbish collection and cleaning duties of park assets. You'll cover the early morning shifts which are 5am - 1:30pm.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

• Experience working in a maintenance or cleaning role is useful although not essential
• A current full driver's licence and be able to drive a manual vehicle is a minimum requirement
• You will be self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Have the desire to complete all work to a high standard, keeping your local community clean!
