Savills NZ is seeking an enthusiastic Facilities Manager to join our Centre Management team at North City Shopping Centre, Porirua. You will focus on day-to-day operations to deliver an exceptional experience for customers and retailers.

Three+ years in a similar role, relevant licences, strong customer service, strategic thinking and excellent communication are essential as you oversee services, coordinate with contractors, and ensure regulatory compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar facilities management role.
• Relevant statutory licences and certifications.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer and tenant service.
• Strategic mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and monitoring all property operations and maintenance activities.
• Undertaking hands-on, non-trade specific maintenance and operational tasks as required.
• Monitoring electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and fire services systems and equipment.
• Liaising with tenants and service contractors to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and organisational processes.
• Enhancing management and operational performance of the property.
• Preparing reports and maintaining documentation in accordance with client procedures.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Facilities Manager to join our dynamic Centre Management team at North City Shopping Centre, Porirua. You will be a key team member working alongside the Centre Manager, with a focus on the day-to-day operations of the facilities, to ensure we deliver an exceptional experience for our customers and retailers.

What You’ll be Doing

• Supervising and monitoring all property operations and maintenance activities
• Undertaking hands‑on, non-trade specific maintenance and operational tasks as required
• Monitoring the operation and performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and fire services systems and equipment, including electrical switchgear, chiller plant, air conditioning, lighting schedules and security systems
• Liaising with tenants and service contractors to ensure efficient service delivery
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and organisational processes
• Enhancing the management and operational performance of the property
• Preparing reports and maintaining documentation in accordance with client and organisational procedures
