Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown is seeking a reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our client's premises safe and operational. You will perform repairs, routine inspections, and preventative maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong tool skills, and the ability to work on site in varied conditions. You will record work orders, comply with health and safety standards, and support essential community

Qualifications

Proven experience as Facilities Maintenance Technician or similar.
Solid knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.
Good physical condition and ability to work in diverse conditions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform general repairs and maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs.
Execute preventative maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, and building infrastructure.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and work orders.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility.
