Job summary

Access Elevators in New Zealand is seeking a skilled welder-fabricator to join our workshop and provide on-site support as needed. You will fabricate, repair and modify elevator components, reading drawings and maintaining high workmanship standards.

The role involves MIG, TIG, and arc welding, general fabrication and machining tasks, and working closely with a small team to deliver reliable elevator solutions while upholding safety.

Qualifications

• Proven welding experience, including TIG welding of stainless steel.
• Experience with general fabrication and machining.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
• A full New Zealand driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• MIG, TIG, and arc welding of mild steel and stainless steel components
• Fitting and Turning With Training Provided if Necessary
• High-quality stainless steel fabrication and welding
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (As required)
• Fabricating, repairing, and modifying mechanical components
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and workplace safety
• Working collaboratively with our small team
