Job summary

Matamata Panelworks is seeking an experienced Restoration Painter for high-end vehicle restorations. The role focuses on premium finishes with some cross-over to other workshop painting tasks as needed. This is a full-time, permanent position in a quality-focused workshop.

The successful candidate will have proven restoration experience, senior-level expertise, and a commitment to top-tier workmanship. Expected to work Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm with flexibility when required.

Matamata Panelworks is looking for a highly experienced Restoration Painter to join our team. This role is focused primarily on high-end vehicle restorations, with some involvement in other paint work across our workshop when required. We are seeking a skilled professional who takes pride in their craft and consistently delivers exceptional results.

About the Role

• High-end restoration paint work (primary focus)
• Occasional involvement in other paint work across the workshop
• Working on quality builds where finish and attention to detail matter
• Full-time, permanent position

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm, with flexibility when required.

What We’re Looking For

This role suits a painter who takes pride in their work, values quality over speed, and is committed to producing high-end restoration finishes to a consistently high standard. This is not a junior role. You must be currently operating at a senior level with proven, real-world experience in restoration and high-end paint work.
