Job summary

Hynds is seeking a confident Fleet Driver in Christchurch to move pipes, manholes and concrete products safely and on time. You’ll start on a transfer truck and training on HIAB will be provided when ready.

You’ll deliver to customers and between Hynds sites, act as the friendly face on the road, and help out in the yard after returns. Ideal candidates have a full Class 5 licence and at least 3 years’ trucking experience, with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Hold a full Class 5 licence.
• 3+ years of truck driving experience.
• Keen to learn HIAB, or able to use one already.
• Takes safety seriously and takes pride in doing the job right.
• Reliable, easy to get along with, and good with customers.
• Has an F endorsement or OSH certificate (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Delivering to customers and between sites, safely and on time.
• Being the friendly face of Hynds when you're out on the road.
• Loading up, strapping down and ensuring every load is secure.
• Doing your daily truck checks and keeping your logbook tidy.
• Helping out in the yard when you're back at base.
