This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of New Zealand Police, providing trusted, high-quality executive support to a member of Police’s Executive. You will support and enable your senior leader to be organised, informed, and ready to make decisions that support our people and the communities we serve.
You will support a tier three member of Police’s Executive and will be part of the functional group they lead. You will also provide relevant and required support to the wider business group of which you are domiciled within.
The role requires flexibility, sound judgement, discretion, and the confidence to manage competing and changing priorities. An ability to work under pressure whilst managing competing demands is critical, as is the ability to identify, prioritise and elevate where required. Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative and high levels of motivation for their work.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Assistant Commissioner, Investigations, Serious and Organised Crime.
Investigations, Serious and Organised Crime comprise of a range of specialist functions focused on investigating seriousand complex offending and preventing and disrupting organised criminal activity.
This includes Criminal Investigations, which leads major and volume crime investigations, as well as nationally coordinated functions targeting organised crime, gangs, and transnational threats. It also incorporates specialistcapabilities such as financial crime, cybercrime, covert operations, and asset recovery, providing expertise to supportcomplex investigations and enforcement activity.
These are underpinned by intelligence, forensic, and specialist support functions that enable evidence-based outcomes and operational delivery. Collectively, Investigations, Serious and Organised Crime ensure Police are equipped torespond to high-harm offending and reduce criminal activity through coordinated, specialist, and intelligence-ledapproaches.

This position is covered by a collective agreement, with a salary range of $81,098 and $105,853. The successful applicant will be appointed within rangedependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
