Job summary

HERO INTERNATIONAL LTD, an Auckland-based company, is seeking six Excavator Operators to join a great team. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week on a roster and perform excavation tasks with excavators and heavy machinery.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience or NZQCF Level 4+ qualification, knowledge of health and safety requirements, and be physically fit. NZ residence or valid NZ work visa is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the same field or a NZQCF Level 4 qualification or above.
• Having good knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements.
• Be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests should need to be.
• Be physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to perform excavation tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to meet project goals.
• Excavate and grade earth, rock, and other materials as required.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any issues to maintenance staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
