Job summary

Falcon Civil Limited is seeking two experienced Excavator Operators to join our Auckland team. You will work 30-45 hours per week at an hourly rate of NZD 28 to 34, depending on skills and experience.

Responsibilities include operating earthmoving machines, preparing equipment with attachments, and reading civil plans to position machines accurately on site. A commitment to safety and ability to work weekends if required are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ relevant work experience.
• Able to work independently.
• Physically fit and healthy.
• Weekend work availability may be required.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations and a drug-free workplace.

• Operate earthmoving machines for large-scale and precision excavation, making real-time depth and safety decisions.
• Prepare machines by selecting, attaching, and installing right attachments.
• Read and position machines from detailed construction/civil plans.

Falcon Civil Limitedis looking for two experienced Excavator Operators to join our team in Auckland. You will work for 30-45 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $28 to $34, subject to your skills and experience.

Key tasks

• Operate earthmoving machines in varying sizes and settings, and complete large scale and precision excavation work. This position requires you to make real-time decision related to depth, ground stability and environment safety
• Prepare machines by selecting, fitting, and installing right attachments
• Read detailed construction/civil plans and position machines for operation
• Operate and control the machines to cut, excavate, break, drill, level, compact, and gouge out the ground
• Operate machines to fill, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials
• Manipulate attachments using manual, electronic or hydraulic controls
• Perform routine checks on machines and adjust controls to regulate the operation, and ensure safety of other workers
• Conduct preventative maintenance on machines when required
• Follow verbal and drawing instructions to ensure work performance
• Clean, lubricate, refuel, adjust and repair machines when required

Requirements
