Job summary

The Eden Park Trust in Auckland is seeking a practical, hands-on Event Set-Up Supervisor to lead the safe set-up and pack-down of events across Eden Park, supervising the venue team and coordinating with hirers and suppliers.

You will plan layouts, check safety, manage equipment and staff, and ensure spaces meet presentation standards for sports, concerts and conferences. Strong organisation, communication and a proactive approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in event set-up, facilities, venue operations or a hands-on operational role.
• Experience supervising staff or leading a small team.
• Practical experience moving event furniture, equipment and tools safely.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight timeframes.
• Attention to detail and pride in venue presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and actively participate in the set-up and pack-down of event spaces.
• Prepare rooms and event areas in line with approved layouts and requirements.
• Set up and move chairs, tables, risers, flooring, furniture and equipment.
• Carry out pre- and post-event checks to ensure spaces are ready and safe.
• Coordinate staff and resources to meet event schedules.
• Liaise with internal teams, hirers, suppliers and contractors.
