Forrest Hill School on Auckland’s North Shore is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and relationship-focused ESOL teacher to join our team for the 2027 school year.

Permanent part-time positions are rarely available at our school. The successful applicant will join a high-functioning ESOL team and contribute to language development and inclusive teaching across Years 1–8.

• ESOL expertise with strong knowledge of English language acquisition strategies and assessing multilingual learners.
• Ability to align language support with Structured Literacy and Structured Mathematics within the NZ Curriculum.

• ESOL expertise: Strong knowledge of English language acquisition strategies, the English Language Learning Progressions (ELLP), and experience assessing and supporting diverse multilingual learners.
• Curriculum integration: Ability to provide explicit language support that aligns with Structured Literacy and Structured Mathematics within the updated NZ Curriculum.
• Student-centered focus: High standards for English language achievement, cultural responsiveness, and overall student well-being.
• Relational classroom management: Effective, compassionate behavior management grounded in a relationship-based approach.
• Team synergy: A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine sense of humor.
