Job summary

United Rentals New Zealand is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support customers throughout their rental journey, acting as the first point of contact for Mobile Storage clients and ensuring outstanding service and accurate hire transactions.

You will build strong relationships, respond to enquiries, prepare quotes and contracts, and coordinate equipment movements to deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in customer service, administration, or a similar role.
• Strong communication skills with a genuine passion for customer service.
• Confidence building relationships and identifying sales opportunities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong computer literacy and experience using business systems, including CRM or ERP system.
• Experience within the equipment rental, construction, industrial, or related industries will be highly regarded.
• A positive, team-oriented approach and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Responding to phone, email, and web enquiries promptly and professionally to facilitate equipment hire.
• Understanding customer needs and recommending the right equipment, accessories, and solutions.
• Preparing quotations, reservations, and contracts accurately and efficiently.
• Building relationships with new and existing customers to support repeat business.
• Coordinating equipment movements, transport bookings, and related administration.
• Maintaining accurate customer and transaction records within company systems.
• Working closely with branch, operations, and sales teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
