Orchestral seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our health-tech mission, sitting at the intersection of software, infrastructure, and patient outcomes. You’ll embed with hospital teams to map, prototype, and deploy automation that improves clinical workflows.
You’ll build resilient AWS integrations, influence product decisions from real-world deployments, and own outcomes in production. If you thrive in undefined spaces and travel to customer sites, this role offers growth and meaningful
Be the engineer who changes how healthcare works — in the field, not just behind a laptop. At Orchestral, we’re building next-generation health-tech powered by AI. But real transformation doesn’t happen in the lab — it happens where patients are cared for, where data is messy, and where systems weren’t designed for each other. That’s where you come in. As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you’ll sit at the intersection of software, infrastructure, and human impact. One week you’re embedded with a hospital team, mapping out how our agentic AI platform can automate critical workflows; the next you’re back with our product team, shaping the core roadmap with what you’ve learned. You’ll solve problems nobody has solved before — and you’ll see your work save time, costs, and lives.
Embed with customers (50%): Partner with clinicians, ops teams, and health systems to scope, prototype, and deploy solutions in the wild.
Engineer with impact: Build, test, and scale integrations on top of AWS — from resilient infra to rapid prototyping of agentic AI tools.
Shape the product: Feed back real-world insights into our core platform, driving roadmap and architectural decisions.
Own the outcome: Deliver not just code, but transformation. If it doesn’t work in production, it doesn’t count.
Strong background in software engineering / SRE / DevOps / platform engineering.
You’ve shipped real systems, scaled infra, and know your way around AWS.
Curiosity and grit.
You thrive in undefined problem spaces, whether that’s debugging in a live hospital setting or designing scalable AI workflows.
Comfort with travel and customer embedding. You want to be where the problems are, not just hear about them second-hand.
Experience (or hunger to learn) in AI, agentic AI, and automation at scale.
Impact you can feel: Your code doesn’t just ship features — it helps clinicians and patients directly.
Front-line innovation: Be one of the first engineers in a role that blends product, platform, and real-world deployment.
Startup energy: Small team, fast decisions, huge ownership.
Growth: This role can evolve into leadership in product engineering, solutions, or even CTO-track.
If you’re a senior engineer tired of being boxed in, and want a role where your work actually touches people’s lives.
