Job summary

Waste Management Pte Ltd is seeking an Environmental Analyst for our Dairy Flat, North Island site. The role focuses on monitoring environmental impacts, odour control, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will perform field sampling, coordinate with laboratories, and provide analytical insights for continuous improvement. The position requires a tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering, strong data management, and the ability to work outdoors.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Calibrated nose for odour testing and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Strong data management and reporting skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong coordination skills and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
• Experience in monitoring, testing, or laboratory support roles is advantageous.
• Hold a Full New Zealand driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental sampling and analysis across air, water, and soil for compliance.
• Take ownership of odour monitoring, complaint investigations, and reporting.
• Operate odour control equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collect, prepare, and dispatch samples for lab analysis.
• Coordinate with laboratories for turnaround and accuracy of results.
• Contribute to internal audits and external compliance reporting.
• Support other environmental projects as directed by the Manager.
