We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative English teacher to join our English faculty. The successful applicant will bring particular expertise and enthusiasm for media studies, with the ability to inspire students through engaging, contemporary and creative learning experiences.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who can bring English and Media Studies to life. You will have the opportunity to:

• Teach engaging English programmes across the secondary school.
• Make a significant contribution to our Media Studies programme, including at NCEA level.
• Develop students' ability to critically analyse media, texts and the world around them.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by theSecondary Teachers Collective Agreement (STCA). The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $66,999 to $107,886 depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. An individual’s actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment

This is a permanent fulltime position commencing 28 January 2027.
