Liquigas is seeking a senior project manager and engineering leader to take capital projects from concept through commissioning, while guiding a small engineering team. The role reports to the Head of Operations and Engineering and involves close collaboration with operations, maintenance and external partners.
You will lead project delivery, manage budgets and implement Management of Change across assets, ensuring safety, quality and schedule targets.

This is a newly created role bringing project management and engineering leadership together in one seat. You will take Liquigas' capital projects from concept through to commissioning and provide technical leadership to a small engineering team, keeping the assets safe, reliable and efficient. It reports to the Head of Operations and Engineering and sits close to the decisions that shape the business.
The weight of the role sits in project delivery. You will have two experienced technical engineers reporting to you, so people management is light, particularly early on, and the day-to-day is about getting projects done well.
A strong project manager with an engineering background, ideally from a process, manufacturing, energy, utilities or heavy industrial setting. Experience in a high hazard environment is valuable.
A degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is required, along with the right to work in New Zealand.
The role is based in New Plymouth, with some travel to Liquigas depots around the country as required.
