Job summary

Transpower in Wellington Central seeks an Engineering Information Management Advisor to safeguard critical engineering data across CAD drawings, 3D models and multimedia, ensuring quality, security and easy access for delivery teams. You will partner with engineers, Grid Development and Operations to apply governance, versioning and metadata discipline, and to train stakeholders in best practices.

A tertiary CAD/BIM qualification or equivalent is preferred; ISO 19650 knowledge and

Qualifications

Demonstrated document and drawing control experience within an engineering environment, with use of information systems and platforms.
Strong QA and judgement skills focused on information accuracy and security.
Understanding of version control, metadata integrity and information governance.
Stakeholder engagement and clear communication with coaching and training ability.
Ability to combine technical knowledge and business context to improve systems and data value.
Tertiary CAD/BIM qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Manage engineering information systems with disciplined versioning and metadata practices.
Apply governance standards to ensure information is secure, accurate and easy to find.
Support data quality improvements and system performance enhancements.
Partner with engineers, Grid Development and Grid Delivery to enable informed decision making.
Provide practical guidance and training to stakeholders across teams.
