Job summary

NZCL in New Plymouth provides disability support to help people live independently and participate in the community. As a Support Worker, you will assist with daily activities, personal care, meals, and community participation, working across shifts to provide 24/7 support.

We seek energetic, compassionate individuals with a driver’s license. Healthcare experience is preferred. NZ Residents or valid NZ work permits are required. Training towards NZQA Health & Wellbeing is offered.

Qualifications

• NZ Resident/Citizen or valid NZ work permit required.
• Full driver’s license essential.
• Experience in healthcare or disability support preferred.
• Empathetic, patient, and able to work across varied rosters.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily living activities and personal cares.
• Assist with meals, household tasks and life skills.
• Facilitate community participation and outings.
• Work across rosters including nights; 24/7 support.
